Inis MĂłr: The Heart of the Gaeltacht

Inis Mór isn’t just a destination—it’s a feeling of belonging, a place where you’ll discover the true meaning of home.

Imagine a place where every stone holds a story, where Irish is not only spoken but celebrated, and where natural beauty stretches as far as the eye can see. Welcome to Inis Mór, the largest of the Aran Islands, nestled on the west coast of Ireland. This is where Mollie Fest will take place—a five-day retreat into the heart of the Gaeltacht.

Inis Mór, meaning “Big Island” in Irish, is the soul of the Gaeltacht, an Irish-speaking region known for its deep-rooted culture, history, and traditions. Here, the Irish language is the heart of daily life, and during our time together, you’ll hear it spoken with warmth and pride by the island’s community. This island has been home to generations of Irish speakers, artists, and storytellers, and it’s a place where our shared heritage is tangible in the air.
